Spartan Life: Student Handbook and Resource Guide, is a helpful resource guide to campus programs and services, and also includes rules, regulations, rights and responsibilities that have been established in the interest of intellectual and personal development while protecting individual freedoms. It is published annually by the Department of Student Life in the Division of Student Affairs and Services. Part I includes information and services helpful to navigating and taking the best advantage of university opportunities. Part II is the Rights and Responsibilities and specifically addresses student conduct, academic pursuits, keeping of records and publications. It describes procedures for formulating regulations governing student conduct and for providing due process in the adjudication of student disciplinary cases. It also defines channels and procedures for student complaints and grievances. Part III provides the General Student Regulations including those for Residence Halls and University Apartments. Student group regulations, administrative rulings, all-university policies and selected ordinances are also included here. Spartan Life is revised and published annually and distributed widely across the campus. Hard copies of the document are available through the Department of Student Life, 101 Student Services. The web version of Spartan Life is updated throughout the year.
